About
Aikido
Founded by Morihei Ueshiba, O’Sensei (1883-1969), Aikido is more than a martial art. It is a disciplined practice that combines physical training with ethical and spiritual awareness. Movements are organic and reflect flows of nature. This allows you to merge and blend with attacks not only on the mat but during daily life conflicts outside the dojo, thus helping to neutralize aggression, reconcile differences held between self and others, and develop an embodied understanding of the connection between all human beings.

Our Dojo
We are located six miles north of Cobb, California - just off Hwy 175 at Admiral Way. Our address is 9537 Mount Hannah Dr South, zip 95451. Dojo literally means “place of the way”. As such, a dojo is anywhere one happens to be when engaged in study. We opened July 2019, renting studios in Cobb and Kelseyville, CA. When COVID hit we used county parks, school yards, and Zoom. In late 2022 training robustly resumed at our own property, and in 2024 a structure on the property became our permanent dojo. Classes are traditional, supportive and respectful. Our affiliation is with Division 2, California Aikido Association, under Hombu Dojo - Aikido HQ, Tokyo, Japan.
YOUR FIRST CLASS IS FREE! Visit to watch at NO COST.
